Wat Pong Chas
Remains of an ancient site located on the grounds of a contemporary monastery. The collection of remains includes numerous laterite blocks and sandstone remnants including pedestals, door frames, a decayed and broken lintel, sema stone, and other pieces.
Wat Ponlea Chey
Contemporary monastery and pagoda featuring remnants of an ancient temple including sandstone pedestals and fragments of sema stones.
Wat Pou MeanChey
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located along the route to Sambour Prei Kuk. Also recorded as Maha Vipassana Pagoda. At the time of visiting (Dec 2022) the pagoda was undergoing renovation with new murals in the works.
Wat Prasat (Stoung, Kampong Thom)
Also recorded as Wat Prasat Svay Chrum, located in Stoung district of Kampong Thom, its a contemporary monastery and pagoda housing remains of an ancient temple site. Ancient remains seen include a lintel and sandstone plinth. The village here is quite beautiful and nearby is the Prasat Ampil Rolom.
Wat Prasat Samreth Chey
Contemporary monastery and pagoda. In a shelter it appears to house what may be an ancient grinding stone, or a replica thereof.
Wat Prasat Svay Prei
Contemporary monastery and pagoda that houses ancient remains including two lintel fragments, spouted pedestal, decorated door column fragment, and sandstone plinths.
Wat Preah Damrei (Stoung)
Contemporary monastery and pagoda housing several ancient temple remnants and older stupa. Ancient remnants include a very decayed decorated lintel, several pedestals all of an unusual style, and other fragments. There are several older-style stupa/chedi, one with a bell-shaped top, constructed of brick is quite interesting.
Wat Preah Krasang (Kampong Svay)
Contemporary monastery and pagoda featuring remnants from an ancient temple site and from the post-Angkor era including older style stone carved sema.
Wat Preah Vihear Khpuos
A contemporary monastery and pagoda that once had an old wooden vihara hall demarcated by ornate sema stones also featuring a stupa (refer Cisark #1615). Today, a new pagoda is under construction. Near the pagoda, a shelter housing remnants of an ancient temple can be seen including a sandstone spout, plinths, and a moonstone (doorstep).
Wat Prey Phlu
Also known as Wat Trapeang Rong, it’s a uniquely small pagoda surrounded by ornate sema stones.
Wat Punneray
Monastery with ancient temple remains and two pagodas. Above the balan inside the larger pagoda there’s a large and beautiful chaitya from an ancient temple and inside the smaller pagoda there are also several ancient temple remnants.

Wat Sambour

Wat Sor Sophon (Kampong Thom)
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the east bank of the Stoeung Chinit River in Kampong Thom. It features a beautiful gate that faces the river and a fragment of an old votive stupa perhaps indicating there was a pagoda that preceded the one we see today.
