The Big List of Cambodia’s Beaches

South East Asia has some spectacular beaches and Cambodia is blessed with many, and many that are still pristine and undeveloped. The beaches all reside along the south-western coast from the border with Thailand at Koh Kong in the north to Kampot on the Vietnam border in the south. The offshore area is also home to several islands many of which feature superb sandy beaches.

It is worth mentioning that the days of undeveloped beach escapes along this coast are short numbered with foreign investment, especially from Chinese developers, pouring into the area which is now seeing massive swathes of mangrove forest, national park, and beach habitats cleared for large scale resort developments.

This list includes all of Cambodia’s named beaches and many of the unnamed ones wich total to over 75. Some are easy to access, some difficult and currently there is a diverse range of options from high-end beach resorts, through to traditional bungalows, and lots of untouched beaches that are accessed only by trekking (at the moment). The list is broken into mainland beaches (by district) and Island Beaches (by island) with a map at the bottom of the page.

Mainland Beaches

Koh Kong District

Koh Kong District (on the mainland) is known for its natural wonder and features numerous undeveloped beaches including Koh Kong Beach ឆ្នេរកោះកុង, Bakhlong Beach ឆ្នេរប៉ាក់ខ្លង, Koh Kong beach in Stueng Veaeng commune សង្កាត់ស្ទឹងវែង, Kien Tuk Beach ឆ្នេរពយកៀនទឹក, Chamlang Ko Beach ឆ្នេរចម្លងគោ, Fishing Beach ឆ្នេរនេសាទ, along with many that are the subject of large developments including Kiri Sakor, Seven Star Beach and the Dara Sakor beach.
