Gumball 3000 Rally Hits Siem Reap

The Gumball 3000 Rally is making its Southeast Asian debut with Cambodia as a key stop in 2024, marking the rally’s 25th anniversary. The event attracts global celebrities, automotive enthusiasts, and media attention. Around 130 supercars and luxury exotics will participate, including cars like the Mercedes AMG GT, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari, Porche and even a Pagani.

Starting in Saigon, Vietnam, the rally made its way to Phnom Penh, where the supercars paraded around the Independence Monument, later joining a big concert at Wat Botum Park. The convoy then headed to Siem Reap, with a grand finale set to take place at Angkor Wat, attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of supercars at a temple.

We caught up with them as the cars returned from Angkor Wat to the Royal Independence Gardens where the party kicks off tonight.

This prestigious rally is not only a celebration of luxury cars but also aims to highlight Cambodia’s culture and history. It also includes philanthropic initiatives such as supporting the Angkor Hospital for Children, and, constructing a floating football field in Kampong Khleang, part of the event’s mission to raise $200,000.

Starting in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, the rally crosses through Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and finishes in Singapore.
