A map of Wats and Pagodas in Cambodia including those visited and planning to visit. For the most part, these are pagodas connected with ancient sites and those visited along the journey in between. It’s a relatively small map considering that according to the Ministry of Cults and Religion (via Khmer Times), Cambodia has 5,104 Buddhist pagodas with 70,905 monks!
Wat Chambak Meas
Contemporary monastery featuring a charismatic old wooden pagoda. The site is located around 20km north of central Phnom Penh on the bank of the Mekong River. Across the road is Wat Sovan Botum which features several monumental Buddha statues. Update 08/22: The old pagoda, bar the Buddha, has been pulled down.
Wat Vearin
Contemporary monastery and pagoda also known as Wat Prek Leap, located by the Mekong River just north of central Phnom Penh.

Wat Botum Kong
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the bank of the river with views of Phnom Penh. The pagoda has some embossed murals of Buddhist narratives and near the river there is an old stupa that has become intertwined with the roots of a tree.
Wat Thmor Puon
