Wat Trapeang Sala 

A contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the southwestern side of Phnom Penh. It features a couple of stupa that appear to be many decades old.

Wat Prey Veng

A beautiful contemporary monastery and pagoda with unique design features, also featuring several older stupas.

Wat Areyksat 

Contemporary monastery and pagoda featuring several older stupa and quite unique murals inside the pagoda. At the time of visiting (08/22) it was under restoration. Located in the southern region of Ksach Kandal district nearby the Mekong River.

Wat Prek Bongkong 

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the bank of the Mekong River.

Wat Prek Luong 

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the bank of the Mekong with views across to Phnom Penh. Nearby, on the north side of the monastery grounds, you can take the vehicle ferry across to Koh Oknha Tei, one of the islands of the Mekong River.

Wat Prey Baing

Contemporary monastery and pagoda, one of the oldest in the region and part of the trio together with Yeay Bang (Meban) and Wat Sithor. Contemporary monastery and pagoda on the southeast side of Koh Pen, Kampong Cham. The site features a beautiful pagoda and several interesting funerary stupa/chedi.

Wat Kaoh Pen

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on Koh Pen, just south of the city of Kampong Cham. The pagoda features unique and fascinating murals lining its inner walls along with a large and ornate funerary stupa.

Wat Kdol Don Teav 

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located just north of the heart of Battambang city, and west of the river. Featuring a grand stupa and remains of another. Located atop Bokor Mountain, Wat Sampov Pram is a charismatic pagoda with an extraordinary location and part of what was an old French colonial resort area from the 1920s, Bokor Hill Station.
