Wat Phnom Andoeuk

Also known as Turtle Mountain Pagoda, it is west of Phnom Sampov and on the north foothill of Phnom Krapeau (or Crocodile Mountain), about 15km south of Battambang. It is a quiet and peaceful place with lush landscaped grounds and a trail that winds around and up the small hill to the pagoda. While the pagoda atop the hill is quite simple, there are some beautiful Buddhist works, including bronze turtles and a bronze Buddha, and sculpted Buddhapada. Surrounding the trail are the modern but modest selling quarters, or Kut, for the monks.
