Kandal Province
Kandal Province surrounds the nation’s capital Phnom Penh and is home to a large number of those working in the country’s garment and textile industries. As the capital expands Kandal Province is a likely beneficiary.
Attractions in the province include Phnom Udong, Koh Dach, Sa Ang Mountain, Ang Kor Chey Pagoda, Kean Svay Krau Pagoda, Tum Pek Pagoda, Wat Phnom Thom Mond, Phnom Prasith, and Phnom Edtharoes.

Monastery known as Wat Prasat Reangsei that is built on an ancient temple site. No vestige apparent.
Wat Chedei Thmei
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located to the northeast of Oudong Mountain just south of the RN5. It features several remnants that appear to date to the late-post-Angkor period. At the time of visiting, Aug 2023, the pagoda was in the late stages of restoration.
