A contemporary monastery and pagoda located by the west bank of the Serei Sophorn River in Sisophon. The salaa, or auxillary buildings, almost outshine the pagoda featuring classical style of the mid 1900s.
Banteay Meanchey Province is located in the north-west of the country bordering with Thailand. The capital city of the province is Sisophon while the most visited city in the province is Poipet due only to being the location of main land border crossing into Thailand.
Popular attractions in the province include Banteay Chhmar Temple, Ang Tropeang Thmor, Banteay Neang, Banteay Torp, Kang Va Basin, La Ang Phnom Touch, Phnom Bak, Phnom Chuncheang, Phnom Svay, and Ang Tra Peang Thmor.

A contemporary monastery and pagoda with a large stupa shrine, both the pagoda and stupa are somewhat unique and constructed in recent decades.
A well-kept contemporary monastery, also known as Sovannkha Sattharam Pagoda, features several stupas and colorful gigantic sculptures. It’s also recorded as housing remnants from the nearby ancient ruins of Preah Srok.

The monastery features several remnants from an ancient site including a rare round pedestal (assuming it’s ancient), two square pedestals, what may be a crown piece of the ancient temple, and a small and very decayed Buddha statue.
Monastery housing ancient remains including bollards, lintel fragments, ornate sema stone, and pedestals while the pagoda basement slab is built on or surrounded by laterite blocks.

An ancient temple site that was once surrounded by a moat. Only remnants remain to be seen at the site including several pedestals a deposit stone, a grinding table, and sandstone plinths among the overgrowth.
Partially standing remains of a laterite temple that was a cruciform shape with a small library building, outer wall, moat, and remains of a further enclosure wall.
