Wat Luong (Mongkol Borei)
Also recorded as Wat Loung Si Sovath Ratanaram (Khmer: វត្តហ្លួងស៊ីសុវត្ថិរតនារាម). The pagoda is a little unique with its chambered entrances, although there are a few others. Unfortunately, the pagoda wasn’t open on our last visit. The 25m tall stupa was completed in 2018.

A contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the west side of Sisophon.
Wat Sama Thiphal
A contemporary monastery and pagoda located by the west bank of the Serei Sophorn River in Sisophon. The salaa, or auxillary buildings, almost outshine the pagoda featuring classical style of the mid 1900s.

A contemporary monastery and pagoda located by the east bank of the Serei Sophorn River in Sisophon.
Wat Phnom Svay
A contemporary monastery and pagoda located atop the prominent hill of the same name, Phnom Svay, and looks over the entire city of Sisophon. Wat Kirichum Chamkar Khnar
A contemporary monastery and pagoda in Sisiophon featuring a monumental Angkorian-style entrance gate. It is on the west side of Phnom Svay and there is a trail leading from the back of the pagoda to Wat Phnom Svay and the walking path to the top of the mountain.
Wat Koh
Sitting beside the contemporary pagoda, the beautiful old pagoda at Wat Koh features several remnants from an ancient temple including a number of small sandstone pedestals. As mentioned, and just across from the old pagoda is the contemporary pagoda
Wat Phniet (Chi Kreang, Siem Reap)

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the east side of the Stung Sen river in Kampong Svay Commune of Kampong Thom.
Wat Koh Roka
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located on the west side of the Stung Sen river in Kampong Svay Commune of Kampong Thom. Double-story pagodas can be seen here and there with a lecture hall on the first floor and prayer hall above but this features an unusual ventilation “attic” in between that and the roof.

Wat Seday
A contemporary monastery and pagoda in the Kampong Khleang area. The site becomes an island in the wet season accessible only via a characterful wooden bridge crossing the ancient canal that’s lined with the stilted houses that the Kampong Khleang area is famed for.
Wat Sopheak Mongkul
A contemporary monastery and pagoda with a large stupa shrine, both the pagoda and stupa are somewhat unique and constructed in recent decades.
Wat Puthearam Banteay Touk
Contemporary monastery and pagoda located in Phumi Treas of Svay Chek district. Several remnants of an ancient temple are seen in shelters and surrounds.
Wat Baup
A contemporary monastery and pagoda on the eastern side of Phnom Srok. Nearby the chedi there is a collection of older sema stones.
Wat Snuol
A well-kept contemporary monastery and pagoda also houses a small collection of ancient temple remnants that may originate from nearby archeological sites. Remnants include two fragments of pink sandstone decorated door columns, a collection of older sema stones, and what may have been a sema pedestal.
Spean Lbeuk Prei West
Remains of a small laterite bridge located along the ancient road that led out of Angkor to Phnom Srok (and beyond to Sdok Kak Thom). See a larger map of the ancient road network and bridges here and here.
