Contemporary monastery and pagoda located at the southeastern foothill of Phnom Oudong.

Vihear

Located in the cluster of shrines located east of Wat Traleang Keng in Longvek, the site features a contemporary shrine under construction that is surrounded by older leaf-style sema. As per other sites in the area, it has its roots in the 16th-17th century.

Wat Chantmony

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located just south of the RN5 near the Kampong Chhnang/Pursat border. It features older style sema that may have belong to an earlier iteration of what we see today.

Wat Snuol

A well-kept contemporary monastery and pagoda also houses a small collection of ancient temple remnants that may originate from nearby archeological sites. Remnants include two fragments of pink sandstone decorated door columns, a collection of older sema stones, and what may have been a sema pedestal.

Wat Srey Rongit

Wat Sandan

Contemporary monastery and pagoda featuring remnants of a brick structure with a collection of older sema, and what may be ancient temple fragments.

Wat Sambour

Located just north of Prasat Sambour Prei Kuk, it’s a contemporary monastery with two pagodas. According to locals the older vihara and the small stupa date to 1941 while the new pagoda, 2015. Contemporary monastery and pagoda that houses several remains of an ancient temple, including pedestals, lions, boundary markers, diagraphic stele, along with sema stones of later eras.

Wat Preah Damrei (Stoung)

Contemporary monastery and pagoda housing several ancient temple remnants and older stupa. Ancient remnants include a very decayed decorated lintel, several pedestals all of an unusual style, and other fragments. There are several older-style stupa/chedi, one with a bell-shaped top, constructed of brick is quite interesting.

Wat Cheay Sampov

Located just north of the Preah Ko Temple site, Wat Thalaborivat is a contemporary monastery and pagoda located right beside the Mekong River.

Wat Tuol Andet

Contemporary monastery and pagoda located in Choam Khsant, Preah Vihear. According to signage, the pagoda we see today dates to 1955, whilst the site itself may have an even older history. The pagoda features beautiful murals internally and externally.

Wat Tuol Kreul

Contemporary monastery and pagoda. At the time of visiting (02/23) the pagoda was under restoration and prior to consecration with the base sema still yet to be placed.

Wat Preah Krasang (Kampong Svay)
