Roluos

A map and list of temples and archeological sites in present-day Roluos which was formerly the ancient city of Hariharalaya (Khmer: ហរិហរាល័យ) founded in the 9th century AD and capital of the Khmer empire prior to Angkor. The must-see sights in this group are Bakong, Lolei, Preah Ko, and Prei Monti.

Don Sô

Scant remains of a group of temples. Statues and inscriptions were found at the site.

Kong Bong Temple

Prasat Kong Bong is recorded as originally being a group of two brick temples, opening to the east, with moat and basin in the east. Trapeang Srangae

Also recorded as Sra Nge Temple and Prasat Srane. Remains of a group of three small square brick temples and a site where several inscriptions were retrieved plus an inscribed stele. Kok Kranhoung

A mound that appears to be surrounded by a moat. The site is heavily overgrown (late 2021) with no remains to be seen although reports state there were sandstone fragments found here.

Wat Pongro/Samrong Temple

Contemporary monastery and pagoda that is located on what was once an ancient temple site. No remains of the ancient site were seen but the pagoda is quite characterful and the sema inside the pagoda seem as though they may be quite old.

O Ka-aek Temple

Also known as Prasat Trapeang Kaek, it’s a small 9th-century brick temple located near Bakong Temple, Bakong District, Siem Reap.
