Wat Maniratanaram (Pursat)

Located on the southeastern side of the city of Pursat, Wat Moniratanarama or Mony Ratanaream, is a unique new pagoda that has recently been completed. Inside, you can take the spiral staircase that leads up through the different levels with grand views on offer at the top. On Buddhist holy days, at night they turn on the lighting system and the pagoda lights up in a spectacle of color.

We visited here in Feb 2022 when it was under construction and on a recent visit to the Pursat area in August 2023 we were happy to see it completed and, it is stunning.

Feb 2022 visit: A beautiful new and unique pagoda under construction in Pursat.
