Wat Phnom Preah (Chhloung – Kratie)

It’s an early wooden pagoda that is still surviving and seemingly well cared for. It’s located atop a small rise and the foot of which is a series of shrines surrounding a sunken shrine with remnants of an old pagoda. There are several contemporary statues adding to the interest of the site which is a nice, cool, and peaceful place located near road 73 in Kratie Province.

The lower shrines (Khmer: ភ្នំព្រះតេជៈបារមី). Note the miniature palace containing a stupa that appears to be somewhere around 40 or so years old, perhaps older. We tried asking around for more about the site but nobody at the time knew too much.
