Trapeang Run Temple (Chikreng, Siem Reap)

Also known as Trapeang Roun Temple, it’s a brick temple with carved brick reliefs including female deities, decorated pilasters, and lintels. It is a small rectangular temple with the barely standing and eroded remains of a gopura or another temple immediately to its southwest. It is a pre-Angkorian era site believed to date back to the 8th Century (in Prei Khmeng style) and for the Siem Reap area, its reliefs are quite unique.

Albeit a single small temple at no longer or wider than 5m, and slightly remote at over 50km from central Siem Reap, its unique artwork is well worth the effort for temple geeks at least.

Diety
There are two diety bas-reliefs on each side, one has been lost to time, all are similar with slight variation bar the figure on the NW corner.
