Preah Pithu Y, or Kandork Yeak Temple, is a 12th-century sandstone temple located in Angkor Thom. It was originally dedicated to Vishnu. It is one of the five temples in the Preah Pithu Group and differs greatly from the other four in many ways.
Similar though is the fact that it sits atop a large rise and is constructed from sandstone. It differs in that is an elongated building compared to the small cruciform layout of the other four. it features a front room that is joined to a longer room by a short hall that also provides the north and south entrances.
Notable are its two half pediments flanking the doorways on either side, north and south, depicting tales of Vishnu, as well as small pediments above the doors, a false door to the west, and pilasters decorated with motif roundels.
Gallery
There is a small basin to the north which has laterite edging on one side with a terrace structure to its east and an unknown mound/structure with deposits (linga and pedestals) on the northeast corner.
