Prasat Lic

Located 800m west of Banteay Ampil temple and just north of the ancient East Road, the site features an array of sandstone fragments, and 200m to the east is a large basin 200m x 110m. According to the decorative style, the site may have dated to around the late 10th or early 11th century. Sandstone elements include colonette fragments, door jambs, lintel, pediment, and what may be basement molding. Bricks are also seen but not overly abundant.

The site has been cleared and excavated at some point, with overgrowth returning to cover much of the remains, which are spread across a roughly 30m x 20m area. It is located within an APSARA-demarcated area.

Not much has changed, but the overgrowth has been cleared.

Historical Notes

The site was not noted in early French inventories, and to the best of my knowledge, there is no publicly published contemporary research or notes regarding excavations carried out at the site.
