Ping Pong Temple

Prasat Ping Pong is also recorded as Prasat Kandal (noting that on this north-south axis, there is a Pr. Kandal nth and Pr. Kandal sth some 3km to NE). The site features a moat-surrounded mound with traces of an ancient temple site whose basement structure is still to be found below ground.

At the site today, traces of bricks can be seen, as well as a sandstone pedestal and a sandstone piece. Interstingly, traces of bricks can be found dispersed out in the fields.

Several fascinating sculptures have been recorded as originating from this site, including a rare statue of Jambhala (or Kubera), a beautiful Buddha on Naga, a head of Ganesha, which is also a rare sculpture, and a small female deity among other pieces. Seemingly, they all related to the 10th-11th century according to their style.
