Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH)

Cambodia’s largest airport, serving the nation’s capital and surrounds is located 10km west of the central area of Phnom Penh. The airport is soon to be retired in early 2025 and replaced by Techo Takhmao International Airport in Kandal, to the east of the central area of Phnom Penh.

Getting to and from the airport

There are 4 options for getting to and from the airport including public bus, taxi, tuk tuk, and train. There is a transportation desk at the airport that can help with tickets.

Public Bus

At the airport, you can take Line 3 which passes Wat Phnom and the Central Market. It costs 40 cents but is not recommended if you have luggage, especially during busy times in the morning and afternoon. The bus station is in front of the airport on the main road and the line operates from 5:00am to 8:30pm.

Taxi

There are taxis waiting at the airport and the cost to the city center is between USD9-15 taking between 30-60mins depending on traffic which peaks in the early morning and late afternoon rush hours.

Tuk Tuk

There are tuk tuks waiting at the airport and the cost to the city center is between USD7-13 taking between 40-60mins depending on traffic which peaks in the early morning and late afternoon rush hours.
