Located atop Phnom Kulen and a few minutes west of Anlong Thom village, O’Chup Thnal Campsite is run by the local community and the Anglong Thom CBTC.

The site is located by a freshwater stream with sandy banks offering a great place to swim and relax. They have also set up some basic tables, tarpaulins, rubbish bins, and so on. Bring your own tent and hammock and you are good to go.
We stayed here for one night during our October tour around Kulen and loved it, possibly because we had the whole site to ourselves and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
At the time, I didn’t know this place existed, we were looking along the river for a spot to camp and came across this site. There was no one onsite at the time so we called the number and 10 minutes later a young guy arrived and helped us set up, grabbed our details and payment and headed on his way. We had our own tent and hammock, so the total cost for us was $7.50.
You can book and register with the Anlong Thom CBTC or by calling 085842929 (Khmer) as we did. For foreigners, just like any other accommodation, you will need to show a passport.
Prices as noted were:
- BYO tent: 20,000 riel per tent
- CBTC tent: 60,000 riel per tent
- BYO Hammock: 10,000 riel per hammock
