Neang Teav Temple

Located near the Siem Reap-Preah Vihear border, in Svay Leu district, Prasat Neang Teav is a group of three brick temple ruins. The site also features a laterite satellite building, maybe it was the “library”, and was surrounded by a moat. A single pedestal is seen although the site is quite overgrown. One of the door columns retains some notable decoration and the site is mostly admired for being engulfed by nature.

I am a bit surprised there are no inscriptions at this site, maybe I needed to look harder but surely that’s something that would have been well discovered by now.

The site is located a couple of km south of the highway down farm trails between the fields and nearby there is a single hut where a friendly lady resides with her dogs and it would appear she watches over the site, Thanks for her.
