Wat Sorsia

Also known as Wat Phnom Sor Sear or Phnom Sasear, it features a Buddhist Wat (monastery) and pagoda (contemporary temple) along with a beautiful mountain eco-attraction featuring wondrous trails leading through a cave network. The bell-shaped stupa at this site dates back to the 1960s.

There is a guide map at the site but the cave is incredibly dark, and the trail that joins the two caves is a little hard to find at first, so, a local to lead you through is quite helpful otherwise you’ll surely miss some of the key features. For photography, you’ll need some decent flood lighting or a tripod at least, the best I could do was get some OK shots of the entranceways of the caves as seen below.

Getting there – it’s a nice sealed road all the way leading off Road 33 near the westmost Kep turnoff.
