Terrace D (Angkor Thom)

Terrace D, a name used in early French maps, is a yet-to-be reconstructed site that was first documented in 1918 by Henri Marchal and for the most part, left to the jungle since that time. Presently the site sits overgrown although some stonework can still be seen.

On clearing the site in the early 1900s, Marchal notes that the terrace opened to the east featuring a naga balustrade and measure somewhere around 7m x 50m.

He also documented further remains to the west of a temple from an earlier period which included a fronton pictured below
