Prasat East of Khleang North

Located directly east of the rear courtyard of North Khleang, this small walled area features three structures, the main one being a small shrine with stairs at each side while only the western side has an open entry. On either side are small “library” buildings. An outer wall surrounds them with an entry gopura on the west almost joining to the east entry of the North Khleang.

The main shrine has some small statues by the false door, Apsara carvings, and several mini-prasats (2nd pic below) placed atop its platform.

The small central shrine here is actually very ornate with features typical of the 10-11th c, albeit in a quite ruinous state.

Only a small section of the outer wall remains standing and it’s quite interesting as it features windows. There are other temples in the region that featured windowed outer enclosures although from earlier time periods, also these windows are set quite high.

There are also five large frontons and pediment ensembles placed near the site which are also incredibly ornate. I am unsure at this time as to which sites they are from.
