Siem Reap <> Bangkok Bus

The bus from Bangkok (Thailand to Siem Reap (Cambodia) takes around 7-10 hrs covering some 400km +. Buses cross the Cambodia/Thai border at Poipet/Aranyprathet and most companies will guide you through the visa process albeit relatively straightforward especially going KH/Thai bar the long lines.

Crossing from Thai/KH you will need to get a visa on arrival at the Poipet border. Again, the operator should assist with this and may charge a small fee ($5) for assisting. Otherwise, after exiting Thailand just enter the visa office and pay $30 USD for a tourist visa + your photo. Then proceed through customs and reboard your bus.
