BK11

One of the several brick shrines inside the outer moat and surrounding the enclosure wall and inner moat of Bakong Temple. This one stands out as being a little unique from the other towers around the perimeter. It features a sandstone base with steps on each side that are flanked by alters that originally feature stone lions, parts of which can still be seen on some sides. The tower opens to the east with a sandstone doorframe flanked by octagonal decorated columns and topped by a carved lintel with a very interesting center icon, a pig-nosed Kala and I am unsure of the character above.

The sandstone doorframe here also carries an inscription.
