Phnom Lieb

Located about 6.5km west of Kralanh and just south of the NR6, atop a small mountain, there are two shrines, one retaining fragments of an ancient temple recorded under the same name as the mountain, Phnom Lieb. Interestingly, one of the colonette fragments appears to be from around the 8th century while another appears to be from around the 10th century.

Access to the two sites is via a local trail on the north side of the mountain and a five-minute walk up and follow the trail east to the remnants of the old temple (see the map for correct location), if you follow the trail west-southwest around 200m and up a little higher, there’s another two contemporary shrines also with a nice view over the plains below. South of here is Wat Phnom Tralouk.
