Inscriptions

  • K. 807 – 12 lines of Sanskrit – IC IV, p. 38
  • K. 808 – 11 lines of Khmer – IC IV, p. 37

The Prását Ôlok is a set of four towers from the pre-Angkorian period, remodeled in the 9th century. It is part of the Rolûos group: it is located 300 meters west of the Bakoń outer moat and the same distance south of Pràsàt Kandòl Do’m’. The southern sanctuary yielded two inscriptions.

The oldest is a reused slab which bears the remnants of 11 lines in pre-Angkorian script with jambs. This text relates the donations of workers, cattle, rice fields to the gods Vrsabhadhvaja (Çiva) and Naimiçeçvara.

The second is engraved on the south jamb of the entrance door. This text, carefully engraved but very ruined, gives fragments of a praçasti of King Indravarman, the probable author of the alterations to this ancient sanctuary; only a dozen lines remain.

It is useless to give translations of these very fragmentary texts.
