Trapeang Anuon Temple

Located around 12km southeast of Choam Khsant, Prasat Trapean Anoun sits atop a broad earthen rise featuring two brick temples side by side.

The north brick tower is mostly standing and deeply embedded with the root of a tree that grows from its superstructure creating a characterful scene. It features refined molding around its eaves and its basement with a sandstone door frame opening to the east. The other sides feature false doors formed in the brickwork. Of the south tower, only the sandstone doorframe remains standing.

Getting there: There is a trail running to the site but it seems to have become orphaned by cultivation (as of 02/23). We walked from a nearby trail in the north, noticing an incredible number of snake holes en route, just letting you know. This trail leads east from the track that connects Cha’eh <> Krala Peas.
