- Area: Ta Keo Province > Bati District > Trapeang Sab Commune
- | Type: Ancient Remains & Temples
The large and tall ancient brick temple here conceals a spectacular rock formation that acts as the linga of the temple. Only the front wall of the temple remains standing with the inside protected by an additional tin roof.
Outside the temple, the original lintel can be seen depicting Shiva and featuring female deities, Ganesha and Hamsa. Remnants of the original octagonal columns can also be seen.
At the base of the mountain, characterful stairs lead up to a Buddhapadda that was added in recent times and then up to the top. The two stages are not hard at all but the stairs are getting old so take some care.
Nearby here is the Phnom Tamao Zoological Park and around 400 m to the southeast is Phnom Ta Mau Temple. There is also a themed Buddhist area/monastery around 300 m to the east featuring lots of sculptures and a small cave up the hill with a reclining Buddha.
