Located just north of Phnom Bok, Prasat Leak Neang features a tall square brick temple that was the central tower of what was intended to be a group of three. Fascinatingly, only two sandstone false doors remain standing representing what was the northern tower and the southern tower has no remains. They shared a laterite base which is partially exposed.
The central tower still retains lintels and decorated door columns and a passing traveler at the site mentioned a decorated lintel being here, although it was not seen, perhaps in the overgrowth and turned face down for its protection.
The site would have been quite prominent in its day, rising on one earthen level that was surrounded by a moat, then, rising again to support the platform of the temple.
A stele was found at the site which carried inscriptions on each side in Khmer and in Sanskrit noting the installation of divinities in the 9th century along with land and resource matters. It was recorded under the reference K 1034.
